Medical Informatics offers office hours three times a week to provide assistance for investigators using HERON or REDCap. Office hours are on a first-come, first-serve basis. We ask that investigators use this survey to sign up in advance. We anticipate spending 10-15 minutes with each person.

If you are a new user of HERON or REDCap who needs general training, please sign up for a Lunch & Learn clinic.

HERON allows you to explore clinical data from multiple systems, such as O2 (Epic EMR), billing data (IDX), KUH Tumor Registry, Biospecimen Repository, University HealthSystems Consortium, and more. Use HERON to kick start your research: chart review, participant recruitment, quality analysis, and prospective studies.

REDCap is a free, secure web based application designed to support data capture for clinical trials, registries, and administrative support processes via surveys and forms. Use REDCap to solve all of your data capture needs.
