Why am I being asked to fill out this form?
You may be eligible to participate in a current research study at the Biobehavioral Research on Autism, Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (BRAIN) Laboratory at the University of Kansas. This form is used to determine if you or your child will be eligible.
What is the purpose of this study?
We are interested in comparing thinking (cognitive) abilities, movement skills, movement coordination and brain structure and performance between individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and individuals without ASD (controls) in order to better understand behavioral and brain development in ASD.
What does this study involve?
After completing this form, you will be asked to complete a second form for further screening. If you are eligible for the study, you will be asked to sign a consent form and complete tests of learning, problem solving, and movement abilities, and an optional MRI screening. The total testing time is about 7-11 hours and will be split among 3-7 visits.
Who can fill out this form?
You must be at least 18 years old to fill out this form. If you are filling out this form for someone who is under 18 years old, you must be the legal guardian of that individual.
