Project Proposals - Healthy Blue Birth Equity Mini Grants/Broderick Crawford Fund |
The Broderick Crawford Fund is an initiative of the Kansas Birth Equity Network (KBEN) and is funded by Healthy Blue. This fund is named in honor of our dear friend & fierce advocate, Broderick Crawford, Sr.
These mini-grants are meant to provide support to local, grassroots, KBEN members & member organizations who are working to improve Black maternal, paternal, and infant health in Kansas & Missouri.
Three projects will be funded each quarter. We also invite project teams to share their work at the annual Black Maternal Health Week event in April!
Award Eligibility
- Open to active KBEN members.
- Defined as attending at least 70% of KBEN meetings.
- The project should be completed in collaboration with at least two other KBEN members/member organizations.
- The project must be focused on an area identified in the KBEN Five-Year Research Agenda.
Application Process & Deadlines
- Download the project proposal template, complete it, and upload below.
- Applicants may request funding up to $3,000.
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
- Funded project teams will participate in a virtual site visit with KBEN staff and a Healthy Blue representative.
